Ladies Motorcycle Gloves

With many women having trouble comfortably fitting into men's gloves, finding a suitable pair of gloves for a female rider just complicates things further. However, once you've defined what your gloves are going to be primarily used for, it can be quite simple to pick out the pair that works best for you.

First things first, you need to find a pair of gloves that fit comfortably. While it's cheaper to buy gear from the internet, brick and mortar shops can give you the opportunity to try your set of gloves on before you buy.

If you want the best possible price without having to risk getting the wrong size, try on a pair in a motorcycle shop before you begin to shop online. Good gloves shouldn't move around on your hands while riding, and should comfortably fit over your jacket. If the sleeves of your jacket are regularly coming out of your gloves, then they're either too big, or aren't secured tightly enough.

Make sure to get a pair of gloves that are more suitable for your style of riding. If you're on a sports bike it makes the most sense to go with a pair of armoured, highly protective sports and racing gloves. While these provide the best levels of protection, they're relatively thin when compared with touring gloves. If you spend most of your time either riding in cold weather or sitting on the open road, a pair of touring gloves might be the best option for you. It's really a balance game, with the best combination of safety and comfort being the best pair of gloves for you. Avoid fingerless gloves and very short gloves, as these provide no more protection than a pair of mountain bike gloves, and are essentially worthless to motorcyclists.

Finally, while many specialist ladies gloves are available, it's often best to look at men's ranges too. The variation and selection amongst ladies gloves isn't exceptionally wide, and with many women easily fitting into the smaller sizes of men's gloves, it's a better idea to look where the wider selection is.
